What if Justice Kpormakpor Were a Pioneer

What If, the late Justice David D. Kpormakpor were a pioneer or a son of a pioneer, would he had being ignored, left medically unattended, abandoned by the Government of Liberia, and allowed to labor and suffer under the power and pain of his illness as a former Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Liberia and Chairman of the Council of State of the Republic of Liberia? As a former Associate Justice and Liberia’s most Honorable Transitional Leader, had Justice David D. Kpormakpor not being an honest, fair, transparent, and an accountable Leader of Liberia committed to the peace, security, and stability of Liberia and had he embezzled Liberia’s limited financial revenue and resources would he had been left to suffer for so long under his illness and without being medicated and treated in one of the best hospitals in United States of America or Europe at the expense of the Government of Liberia, and shamefully being left to die abroad practically and in the hands of total strangers and perhaps his remains simply taken home to his modest village in the Republic of Liberia?

What if, Professor David D. Kpormakpor had being a pioneer or a son of a pioneer and instead of been named and known as David D. Kpormakpor, but rather, David Daniel Pierre, David Desmond Lewis, David Dickerson Henries, David Dillon Grimes, David Dickson Thomas, David Davidson Tolbert, David Devine Tubman, David Daniel Ross, David Dickson Barclay, David Derrick Dishell, David Darrell Sherman, or David Derision Morris, would the Government of Liberia, under the leadership of President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf had left him to mournfully die and having suffered outside of Liberia, in the United States of America, where he particularly has no relatives and countrymen? What if, Counselor and Associate Justice and His Honor, David D. Kpomakpor were not supported and cared for by a Christian Church and God-fearing American Friends of the United States of America, and what if, the Late Counselor David D. Kpormakpor and former Chairman of the Council of State of the Republic of Liberia had not being medically provided for and his illness treated at the expense of Christian Friends in the United States of America and as a pioneer or a son of a pioneer, would the Government of Liberia had left him to shamefully and disgracefully die in the way and manner as he did?

What if, Justice David D. Kpormakpor were not born in an unknown and simple village in Bomi County, Republic of Liberia, and what if, he had been born in the City of Careysburg, or Bensonvillve, or Johnsonville, or Clayashland, or Marshall City, Montserrado County, or Buchanan Grand Bassa County, or Harper, Maryland County, or on Cooper’s Farm or Cheeseman’s Farm; and what if, the late Chairman David D. Kpormakpor were born at Harrisburg unto the Union of Mr. and Mrs. Daniellette Robertson Cooper, would the Government of Liberia, headed by President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of Liberia, left or allowed him to remain sick for so long, deposited in a nursing (group home) and permitted him to disrespectfully and disgracefully die in the hands of strangers and at the goodwill of strangers, being a former Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Liberia and Liberia’s most honest, principled and trusted Chairman of the Council of State of the Republic of Liberia, although the Republic of Liberia is morally, financially and legally indebted to him and his estate for his distinguished services and retirement benefits consistent with past and current retirement law as provided for and contained under the Public Sector Law or the New Executive Law of the Republic of Liberia?

What if, the Late David D. Kpormakpor, Professor of law, Counselor-at-Law, Associate Justice, and Liberia’s most trusted and accountable transitional leader were only interested in and while sitting as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Liberia and Chairman of the Council of State of Liberia primarily vest his interest in the natural resources, revenue and wealth of Liberia and unlawfully misappropriated, embezzled, applied and purchased expensive and stylish homes in the Americas, using Liberia’s limited resources and hallowed financial revenue, would the late Justice Kpormakpor be left to shamefully and disgracefully die in foreign land leaving his family members with no money and no other alternative to medicate him, but being ready to have his remains home and back to Liberia? What if the Justice David D. Kpormakpor was a pioneer or son of a pioneer?

Perhaps to some Liberians, the late Justice David D. Kpormakpoh was not Christianized and Civilized enough and that he was not a pioneer or son of a pioneer and so, he was left to die a disrespectful and disgraceful death; although he was one of Liberia’s most committed leaders and an esteemed Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Liberia. What a shame brought on Liberia by the selective election of Liberia’s Government.

May the Soul of the Late Justice David D. Kpormakpor rest in peace and may God forgive our sins and restore our humanity! Dust to dust and to dust we shall all return.

A Statement entered this 9th day of September, A.D. 2010 by a former student-at-Law of the Late Counsellor, Professor, and Associate Justice David D. Kpormakpor.
